Refund/Cancellation Policy - Online or In Person TESOL and Language Instructor Courses

Once you have registered and made payment, you will receive an email confirmation. If you need to cancel any time prior to 3 weeks from the start date of the TESOL Certification Course, we would be happy to issue a full refund minus a administrative fee of $50.00.

While we do not issue refunds for a cancellation made within the final 3 weeks before a course begins we can transfer your seat to any future date or class within a 12-month period. If for some rare, unexpected reason Lexica Training Institute must cancel an entire course, a full refund minus any fulfilled classes will be issued to all students who are paid and registered at the time of cancellation

Unlike most other TESOL courses, which rely on book-work and teacher-centric instruction, our dynamic course involves many “hands-on” teaching practicums. This ensures that students will retain the methodology long after the course is successfully completed. For this reason a minimum number of students in each class is necessary. If the minimum number of students is not reached, the class will be cancelled and rescheduled for a future date.

For our in-person training seminars, please take all necessary steps to insure your trip (transportation, accommodation, cancellation insurance…) as Lexica Training Institute cannot be held liable for damages that may arise in connection with the cancellation of our program.

Refund/Cancellation Policy - 150 Hour TESOL Certification

Due to the proprietary nature of the course material, once access to it has been granted no refund will be given.

Refund/Cancellation Policy - Grammar Boot Camp

Those who enrol in all 10 classes of the 10-class program are entitled to attend the classes any time during a six month period from the date of purchase.

If you have enrolled in all 10 classes, but your circumstances have changed and you can no longer attend, or no longer wish to attend, a refund can be requested up to 7 days from the date of purchase. Any classes you have already attended will be deducted from the refunded amount and there is a non-refundable $30.00 administrative fee for processing your enrolment and refund.

Refund/Cancellation Policy for Language Classes

By the student – Cancelation with less than 24 hours notice or failure to attend the class will result in the class being charged at the usual price. If the cancellation notice of 24 hours is not given, or if the student fails to attend, no refund is given. If the student is late for a scheduled class, the tutor is not required to add extra time to the current or next lesson. If the student cannot attend the class due to technical reasons (loss of wifi, computer issues, uncharged phone, etc) and no notice of 24 hours is given, the student is charged for the scheduled class.

By the Tutor – In rare circumstances, a lesson may have to be cancelled or rescheduled, in which case the tutor will give as much notice to the student as possible and, in the event of a cancellation – the class will not be charged to the student.

Refund/Cancellation Policy for Idea Mapping Classes

Once you have registered and made payment, you will receive an email confirmation which you will grant you access to the course. If you need to cancel any time prior to 2 weeks from the first session of the Idea Mapping we would be happy to issue a full refund minus a administrative fee of $25.00.

Our Certification

Upon successful completion of our program, participants will be awarded a TESOL/TESL certificate document that formally recognizes their studies and training in applied linguistics, English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and if they are proficient in other languages a certificate for each language.

Over 1000 students have been trained in these methods with many currently working in the USA, Canada, Myanmar, Mozambique, Kenya, Columbia, Guatemala, Australia, Vietnam and Mexico.

Currently there is no globally accepted standard for TESOL/TESL certification, as there is no international governing body for regulating TESOL/TESL programs. Accreditation in one country does not guarantee recognition in another country.  TESOL Instructors who have earned their certification through private institutes in Canada are generally very well received.

Our certified teachers are widely respected and are frequently offered long-term teaching positions because they are able to demonstrate superior teaching methods and results. They also become highly sought after online instructors, because our certification program gives them the practical skills they need to start teaching right away.

The TESOL/SLAM Certification Course presented by Lexica Training Institute offers a highly practical, comprehensive training program that qualifies its participants to teach English in a classroom setting or online.

"Do I need a degree to find work?

Great question! The majority of our graduates have not needed a degree. However, we agree that having an accredited degree, in many cases, can speed up landing a job. Please see our White Paper on the  subject by clicking this link. You can also download a copy for later reference.
